Have you felt overwhelmed and defeated lately? Imagine how the disciples felt when Jesus told them to feed between 15-20 thousand people (5 thousand men plus women and children)! Mark 6:37
This is the only miracle mentioned in all four Gospels besides the resurrection. John gives us “The rest of the story”, or the story behind the story. John’s account allows us to meet our Insightful Leader in a special way. He is still there to lead with insight.
JESUS SAW THE PEOPLE – Vss. 1-5
When Jesus saw people, he saw needs.
Mark 6:30-34– He taught them.
Luke 9:19-11 – He healed them.

JESUS SAW THE POTENTIAL – Vs. 5
Jesus saw the potential for feeding people and giving them a sign as to who He is.
Jesus sees the potential for us to reach out to those who are hurting and to be a church with impact. Matthew 28:19-20

JESUS HAD THE POWER
Because Jesus is God, He had the power and authority to work this Miracle.
Jesus instills us with Power and His authority to fulfill His mission. Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Zechariah 4:6
JESUS MADE PROVISION – Vs. 11
The whole supply came through the hand of Jesus.
As we move forward to reach others, Jesus will provide the opportunities, the wisdom, the words, and the power to bring people to Himself! That’s His goal.
