Imagine there are 3 chefs with the following characteristics, background, and resources. What would you expect with each one? Well, God expects us to simply be faithful given the time, talents, and treasures He has given us. We all get the same reward if we are all equally faithful.
Chef 1
- Person: 20+ year veteran chef at an upscale restaurant in NYC with training at the Culinary Institute of America,
- Food: unlimited ribeye steak, lobster, all the seasonings, sides, and accoutrements
- Equipment: fully-loaded commercial kitchen, helpers, etc.
- Expectation: Perfection, ability to serve an army the best meal of their lives
Chef 2
- Person: Italian born / raised homemaker
- Food: ground beef, Italian seasoning, tomato sauce, and pasta, and other seasonings
- Equipment: at-home kitchen
- Expectation: A great spaghetti & meatballs meal for 30-40 people
Chef 3
- Person: A random person who was given a recipe book
- Food: flour, corn starch, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, vanilla, butter, maple syrup
- Equipment: mixing bowl, frying pan, one portable propane burner, and serving / mixing utensils
- Expectation: A few awesome pancakes for a few awesome people
